About the project

Disclaimer: Demeyere is not a client of mine. This was a hobby project that I created because I saw a problem that I wanted to solve. Nothing more.

A few times a year, employees of the Demeyere brand can offer their friends and family nice discounts on a range of selected products. Since my girlfriend works there, our friends and family also have the opportunity to get that discount. (no, I'm not looking for new friends, but thanks for asking...)

We've shared this promotion twice now, but each time there was some miscommunication somewhere in the flow. Just ordering one pot too many or a glass that should have had a handle. These things can happen in a flow where everything takes place through purely textual communication. A problem that can be easily remedied.

I saw this as the perfect situation to set up a simple web app, which during development didn't turn out to be so simple, with Cursor. You know, that app everyone is showing off on social media these days. And since I don't mind a bit of vibe coding, I also got to work on it. With this as the result.
